GENERAL INFORMATION

The World Civic Youth Forum(WCYF) 2009 is an intellectual and cultural global event where college youth from all quarters of the world share and discuss global issues and their common concerns, and search for solutions to these problems.

WCYF 2009 will be held at the Global Campus of Kyung Hee University, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do on May 5-8, 2009.

The mission of the WCYF is to give college youth a voice by bringing them together through meaningful dialogue and action on global issues and also to provide valuable opportunities for growth and exploration as a young individual as well as a member of the global community.

College youth can define their roles for a global community by communicating their own ideas, opinions, and needs on global issues with other youth at the WCYF. The WCYF will therefore be a great opportunity for college youth to raise their important voices in order to be seriously considered by those who make decisions on global issues.

We encourage college youth from all quarters of the world to partake in the WCYF. The WCYF committee invites submissions for papers and/or panels. A panel consists of two or three paper presentations, a moderator, and discussant(s).

We welcome the inflow of young and creative perspectives of college youth on global issues. We would also be most grateful if you could publicize the WCYF to any person, organization, association, or structure that you would consider possibly interested in and eligible to participate in this event.
